Since most of the particles of the material to be filtered are irregular, usually containing a large number of particles close to the separation point, the pore size of the stainless steel mesh is less than or equal to the diameter of the particles, and the particles are stuck. The screening of various viscous powder materials often sticks to the stainless steel mesh and causes clogging. The material has a fibrous material, and has more flake particles, and the woven mesh is thick and easy to block.

The solution is: when the material has a finer particle size, more shale content and smaller screen size, moisture plays a decisive role in the clogging of the filter mesh. When the moisture in the material is greater than 5%, if the material is unconditionally dried, the sieve surface and sieve holes should be selected in a targeted manner. When the moisture is greater than 8%, a wet screen should be used. For materials with more flaky particles, it is necessary to change the material crushing mode and the particle size matching of different crushing processes, and select the appropriate solution based on the characteristics of the cause.

Put a drop of water on the filter and wipe it with copper sulfate. If the color does not change after kneading, it is generally stainless steel; if it turns purple, it is non-magnetic high manganese steel. Only a magnet can basically distinguish two types of stainless steel. Because chromium stainless steel can be attracted by magnets under any conditions; chromium-nickel stainless steel is usually non-magnetic in the annealed state, and some may be magnetic after cold working.

However, high manganese steel with higher manganese content is non-magnetic; the magnetic conditions of chromium-nickel-nitrogen stainless steel are more complicated: some are non-magnetic, some are magnetic, some are non-magnetic in the longitudinal direction, and magnetic in the horizontal plane. Therefore, although the magnet can basically distinguish between chromium stainless steel and chromium nickel stainless steel, it cannot correctly distinguish certain special steel grades, and it is impossible to distinguish specific steel grades. The price can also tell whether the stainless steel mesh is made of 304 stainless steel mesh. Generally, it is basically judged that it is not 304 stainless steel mesh when purchasing stainless steel mesh below 25 yuan/KG.
